While the bombing continues on several areas in the Gaza Strip, the Hamas Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that dozens of people were killed and wounded in an Israeli bombing of the Jabalia refugee camp, the day after an Israeli bombing of the same area claimed the lives of at least fifty people.

Photos from Agence France-Presse showed severe damage to the site, while members of the Civil Defense confirmed that “entire families” had been recovered from the site.

Meanwhile, an Al Arabiya correspondent reported that Israel shot down 4 drones and a missile over the Red Sea launched from Yemen towards Eilat.

For its part, the United Nations on Wednesday condemned the raids that targeted the Jabalia camp in the Gaza Strip, killing dozens of Palestinians in an attack that Israel said targeted a Hamas leader.

“These are just the latest atrocities inflicted on the people of Gaza as the fighting has entered a more horrific phase, with increasingly horrific humanitarian consequences,” UN Humanitarian Coordinator Martin Griffiths said in a statement. “The world seems unable and even reluctant to act” to put an end to the situation. End this war.
